First off. Congratz!

I love #4,but sorry, the crops on #1,2 are almost creepy.:( Not flattering for the new one at all..the rest also suffer from the composition....:(

Being different is fabulous, as long as the results show your best:D

I see what Flo means about the crops, less "awww" factor than the typical baby photos... but that's why I like them. Cutesy kid pictures don't usually hold my interest for long unless they are interesting/original in some way, and these are definitely original.

For me, the first two are the ones I was referring to. They just look unnatural. I love new concepts, but with babies, you have to be so careful.

Aah, fair enough, no offence meant, I do see what you mean.

Thanks for your comments! I really appreciate it! I learn from the comments I receive.

Any thought about PP? I consider myself a novice when it comes to PS. I hope it doesn't show!

I think cc on newborns is quite difficult simply because in the eyes of the poster (normally a parent) you're looking at the most beautiful thing you've ever seen, so naturally biased. I talk through experience here :) and I think a lot of people would, like me, be reluctant to criticise such a special experience in a person's (your) life. You've captured some great moments for posterity so don't be concerned about lack of responses, and to use pp here may amount to distorting the purity of these shots?

I expect some will disagree with this, but I reckon that if you like them, they're perfect. If you don't, take more shots! :)
