Shifting Focus Points / 7D

Hi POTN - I haven't got my manual to hand, so I can't double check this right now.

Hopefully some one could confirm this for me or not - the function to quickly move focus points around via the control stick, is only available for (maybe 10 seconds) after a shot has been taken or the shutter depressed for focus. And after that it is not available...until a shutter depress.

Yep! That is right. You should half press the shutter in order to activate the joystick again ;)


Photography is about GEAR and not talent or practice. Practice won't make you a better photographer. Expensive equipment will. =D

I never knew about this feature on the 40D :) I like it.

In case anyone else doesn't know, the option is in C.FnIII -> 3 -> 1.
