Does anybody know if this applies to all 5D bodies or later serial # (370xxxx) don't need to do this? I was trying to remember when canon actually released that service notice? Thanks a lot.

gonzogolf dumb remark memorialized More info | Mar 02, 2010 10:15 | #2 I dont know about the recall, but in a recent thread a user called canon and confirmed that they will reinforce the mirror if you send it in. Its a free repair, as is fixing the mirror if it breaks. I recently picked up a used 5D and will probably shoot with it until there is a problem.

If you go to the Canon website, the picture they show has the reinforcements so if your camera lacks those hten you can send it in. But I do believe later serial numbers were fixed from the factory. I think it was models with serial numbers starting with 2 and 3.
