I sold a $30 textbook on Amazon. I shipped it last week, the same day it was purchased.

I just received an email from the customer via Amazon saying:

-------------- Begin message ---------------

I'm returning this book because i accidently ordered this book on an account that had no money in it and my bank is charging me for it. I didnt cancel the order so i still got charged for the book. I recently just ordered this book again on an account that has money in it and that second will be the book that i keep. Thank you for your time and understanding. for any questions you can call me at xxx-xxx-xxxx.

-------------- End message ---------------

I really don't want to refund. As a seller, I feel I did my part. It was his error and I feel I shouldn't have to accept the book back and refund.

Can I get in trouble from Amazon if I don't want to issue a refund?

Thanks.

I'm not sure of Amazon's policies, but I wouldn't refund. He/she's the one that screwed the pooch, not you. Again, just my 2 cents.

He probably found out that the textbook isn't quite as "required" as the instructor/bookstore insinuated.

I wouldn't issue a refund if I were you, and I wouldn't expect a refund if I were him.

That's his own fault for not being prepared before buying. Tell him to get his act together. He can't accuse you of any foul play if he takes it up with Amazon.

If I were you I would check with Amazon whether you need to issue it or not.

We can only speculate without reading their terms and conditions (which I am in no mind to do)

I would asy its pretty cheeky of him even asking though!

Refund, but with a 15% restocking fee.
