I can't remember where this spot is along Big Sur but, I do remember that it's way before the Bixby Bridge. The colors looked good here but, I decided on b&w. C&C appreciated. Thanks! :)

Filters used: Singh Ray Color Combo.

Thanks Martin. For some reason, I've been totally hooked to b&w lately. :)

This certainly works in B&W, Julian, as do most good compositions. I may or may not prefer color for this, depending on the colors available in the composition.

Thanks Stan. For a midday photo it was decent but, the polariser helped in bringng out the colors here. I wondered what it would look like in b&w. So, I converted it. :)

jdizle,
That's the Big Creek Bridge. It's the southernmost of the big bridges. I like your conversion!

Julien what was the effect of the Color Combo here. Did it lighten the brush? I notice you like fairly high contrast prints (I do too). Nice subject framed well.

Thanks Daniel. I just received a 24x36 print and it's hanging on my wall. Looks good in this size. :)

The effect of the Color Combo will do a combination of things. Hence the name of the filter. :) It will polarize, boost warmth, and slight boost in color contrast. I don't understand the lighten the brush part but, if you could elaborate, I can give you an answer. Thanks! :)

I love that drive... have to agree though, it's sometimes better for the driver than it is for a passenger. ;-)a

Great shot Julian... I do like this in BW too.
