Roseyposey: my shots above were taken with the 7D, so I would expect your results on a 70D to be pretty similar.

Ride5000: your shots 1, 2, and 5 above are very cool. I especially like the elevator shot.

This lens is a great "vacation" lens, although I've used it on a few paying jobs to get thrown-in shots that clients will enjoy but may not use externally. Those throw-in shots are usually well received in that regard as well.

It's a fun, and useful, lens!

Thanks - I'd be happy with that degree of distortion for fun. I've been looking at this thread for a while, but can't justify spending at the moent, but Christmas is on it's way :-)

Can you get that level of distortion on the APS c sensor? Probably the question I should have asked?

basically use a 2:3 aspect ratio and crop my shots to where there's no hard vignette, and that's your FOV.

in other words, it will still be decidedly fishy.

Nice.

Odd I've never taken the drive down there from Beaverton before.

This is a lens I've been pondering the past week. I've bought and sold Fisheye twice, both autofocus, not using them much. But I keep wanting to have one and the Rokinon is barely $250 now. Plus the latest has the removable petals.

BTW ... with forum sizes suggested under 1100 pixels, is there a smaller size you could swap for those pics so it doesn't require scrolling on computer screen?

Crappy work pic. But it shows the Roko 8mm on a full-frame (6D). No cropping and pretty much no processing other than mild exposure adjustment.
