cbsvball;

Love the photo's you posted with the fisheye Samyang lens, utterly superb!

Are they shot with a full-frame or cropped sensor camera??

Regards;
Peter

Thanks for the comments guys! This lens has been a great addition to my bag. The build quality is awesome and really can't complain about anything. I really believe this lens can be used for just about any subject if the subject is properly placed in the composition. I shoot with a Canon 7D (Crop Sensor), so I do not have any issues with vignetting. I believe the FF body's have this issue which requires you to crop the sides.

Got my Opteka a couple of days ago. Build quality is adequate - the aperture ring really lets it down (cheap and nasty) and mine doesn't have a particularly smooth focusing ring. Other than that it's built pretty well.

Image quality is very good but it flares like no other lens I've ever used. It's also quite a bit smaller than I was expecting, which is a good thing :)

Certainly good value for money and I'm pleased with it :)

These were done handheld as testers (pano head does not like 1Ds3) so there's a bit of parallax error. Am working on the issue of missing hands...

Finally got round to sorting out a few shots taken recently. I'm still getting used to this lens, but I absolutely LOVE it!

This WInter has been and totally felt more like Spring so far. Our usually frozen lake at this time of year is totally melted. Every few years I question if Al Gore was right about his global warming theory.

Very impressive pics, everyone! Is there anyway to attach a filter for this lens? Its begging for an ND filter for long exposure wide angle shots. Any ideas?

You can hold a welding glass in front of it.

The Opteka 6.5 w/removable hood will produce a circle image
