Here's an HDR shot of our pond taken tonight. 30 sec, 20 sec and 6 sec exposures combined, at f/8, with T3i. Of course, there is a whack of sky glow, so you can't really see the stars.

I need to use this lens more...but I need to use my camera and all my lenses more. That pond took up quite a bit of my spare time getting it dug/built this winter/spring.

can you explain how you achieved this photo? Both the sky and the ground seem equally well exposed and then the perfect sunburst...it seems like trickery! lol. I end to get a blown out sky or an under exposed landscape.
