I have this lens and have been thinking of trying to use it with an extension tube (for closeup stuff). I have a set of Kenko tubes, but the thinnest is 12mm. From what I understand, for a wide focal lenfth lens like this, you would need a tube that is about 8mm.

I see that Amazon sells a cheap Fotodiox set (about $12) which includes a 7mm tube. Has anyone tried this set or one like it with this lens? (I know that these cheap sets have no electronic connection to the camera, but for a manual lens like this it doesn't matter.)
