Taking advantage of alot of rain recently in Northern CA., I went to a local park and took some shots of the waterfalls/streams. This is the first time I tried long exposure so still learning. It was a bit overcast with the sun peaked through the cloud here and there and when it did, some nice reflection happened.

Very nice. I like how you timed these so you show the motion of the water while keeping enough texture in the water to make it interesting.

Thanks for the comments. I shot in M mode. I metered a rock or leaves around it to get a sense of the shutter speed then change to to M, put it to f16 .5 sec and work from there. After a few shots I pretty much had a good idea what was the best exposure and dialed it in pretty fast.

Beautiful...where is the yellowish reflection on the water coming from?

2 and 3 do it for me. They're all great but I think 1 and 4 could have benefitted from an ND filter. The water is just a little too bright in those, but that could just be my monitor.

Nice images!

Thanks, I guess when the sun came out the reflection caused that. I didn't really pay attention until I went home and pop them up in LR that I saw it.

Nice images!

Thanks, would ND filters help in this case? I always thought they would just block the light and let you shoot at slower speed. Maybe split ND?

Thanks Julian, landscaping is addictive especially with long exposure too.
