This is the first time I tried long exposure so still learning. It was a bit overcast with the sun peaked through the cloud here and there and when it did, some nice reflection happened.  2.  3.  4.

Mar 03, 2010 22:30 | #5 Thanks for the comments. I shot in M mode. I metered a rock or leaves around it to get a sense of the shutter speed then change to to M, put it to f16 .5 sec and work from there. After a few shots I pretty much had a good idea what was the best exposure and dialed it in pretty fast. wardzach2007 wrote in post #9724558  What mode do you shoot in?

Thanks, would ND filters help in this case? I always thought they would just block the light and let you shoot at slower speed. Maybe split ND? Thanks Julian, landscaping is addictive especially with long exposure too.
