Do you look thru the view finder with your left or right eye. ?I think most folks use the right eye but I know of a person that uses the left eye,you can tuck your elbow into your ribs with your left hand below the lens and its pretty steady but it just doesn't seem natural to me.

There was a poll taken a while back. I was surprised at the results.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Most people have a favored eye, but you CAN train yourself. My right eye always has been MUCH more near--sighted than my left, and is now much much worse. I've begun using my left eye, as using my glasses is a huge PITA for me.

If you're having troubles now, just try handgun shooting

Wow, now 23 threads that I know of, and still counting. This topic has GOT to be a close second to the Smiths having thier baby.

At this point I am wondering, why is this a topic of such curiosity? It never would have occurred to me to ask. I just used whichever eye feels right and would assume others did the same. Perhaps some people have a strong need for reassureance that they are "normal". Who knows.

But whatever the reason, the question keeps returning and returning. I thought I might as well collect them. So Dick, for about a billion opinions on the topic, just cruise through the threads below. And next time someone posts this same question, they will bump you off the top of the list! It won't be long.

Oh, and speaking of this quesion returning, do you not remember asking this before?
