Anyone use the new 100mm 2.8 L IS Macro as a walk around?

I just recently sold all my non weather sealed lenses to finance a few weather sealed lenses. I'm seriously considering the 100 2.8 IS L Macro as my next lens. I really want the 135 f2 L but it's not weather sealed and I don't have a macro in my bag yet, so I figured now is the time.

I know this lens is supposed to be great for macro shots but does anyone use it for anything else? Just wondering how versatile it can be. Is the autofocus fast enough to use for action shots? I'm no pro photographer but I shoot runners a lot since my friend is the captain of our local running club. I need a long lens that's faster than my 70-200 f4. Also think this might be nice to have on long hikes on the adirondack trails.

This a great dual purpose lens IMHO. I use it for outdoor portraits and macro photography. Impressive bokeh!!:D

thanks.. I'm almost definitely going to get this lens. I was just hoping someone with both the 135L and 100 macro IS would chime in on which they use more.

I like that the 135L has better DOF control but I would still need a macro lens down the line.. decisions decisions..

My walk around lens is the 135, and works very well with tubes.
