This past weekend I finally made it to Silver Falls state park in oregon. What an amazing trek. The hike is not to bad I would guess its 6 miles or so. Here is a link to my flicker. I put 8 shots on there.

Doodes, we need to get cranked up for our next meetup!

I'd like to tag along and meet fellow NW photographers if that's OK. Always good to meet folks who can offer advice and a new perspective !

What's the usual theme of the meetup ... talk & discuss issues or location shooting or .... ?

Our meetups have been about getting together and taking picures! Let's see, look up Seattle Meetup, Portland Meetup and Olympia Meetup to see what we whackies do! Look for threads here in the Activities forum and pictures mainly in the Urban forum -- a POTN search using Advanced should do it!

Just found this thread and think the idea of mapping our favorite photo locations is great. Unfortunately it seems like the map is a bit empty in Washington so I added a few more locations.

During November 6th-7th, Kenmore Camera (a local camera shop in Kenmore, WA) is hosting a digital Expo. I have never been to it, but plan to this year. I went into the shop the other day and asked them about it and they said the classes held during that weekend are free - first come, first serve. A bunch of vendors will be there to sell gear for discount prices too.
Here is the link, in case anyone is interested: http://kenmorecamera.com/t-Expo10_Home.aspx (external link)

FYI: I am in no way affiliated w/them. I just shop there and like to support my local shops.
