A friend shared this website with me and I didn't see any post on here about it. The following website will allow you to compare 2 cameras of your choice apples for apples (any that I could think of SLR and P&S). I have found it very useful! http://snapsort.com/ (external link)

Awesome link. I was mulling over trading in my 20d for a refurb 50d or buying a new T1i(same $ out of pocket) . This helped me make my decision.Im going with the T1i and I get to keep my 20D

The 50D gets 1 out of 5 for shooting movies. Curious how it got a 1 and not a 0. Must be the current generations expectation of entitlement ;-)a

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

I would take the comparison thing with a grain of salt.........
I have both a 40D and a 1Ds MarkII
I did the comparison on the two, and it declared the 40D the winner. I cannot even begin to explain how much more superior the 1Ds is to my 40D. With that said, I keep my 40D for very specific purposes, and I guess I should mention my D60 too. Still cannot part with it!

Me too. It rates the 5D2 at 3.5 and the 7D at 5 for low-light capability. Taking a quick look at the ISO 6400 output of each will say the exact opposite. Now, if they're talking about autofocus, then yes, the 7D is better in dark situations with all focus points except the center AF point where they are quite close.

I find the Comparometer an Imaging Resource much more useful.

Dpreview has a similar comparison guide.... You can select a group of cameras and then compare the features side by side. I've been using this site to do camera comparisons.

This website is a JOKE. They say the Canon 7D is the world's best camera.

Better than Canon 1Ds MK III, Canon 1D Mk IV, Nikon D3X, Nikon D3s, or Nikon D3.

I like my 7D but REALLY!!! It isn't the world's best camera!

And the 7D kicks a$$ on the 5D MKII. You have to take these things for what they are.

6D, G9, Sigma 50 1.4, Sigma 15mm Fisheye, Sigma 50 2.8 macro, Nikon 14-24G 2.8, Canon 16-35 2.8 II, Canon 24-105 f/4 IS, Canon 70-200 2.8 IS, tripod, lights, other stuff.

I don't think their scale goes to 0.

yeah I can't say I agree with the way it always declares the "Winner", but I still like putting them side my side and comparing all the specs.

Sorry, but this site is a joke.
