Well I dabble in film now and again. I have a large format 4x5 camera. I've shot plenty negative film, color and b+w. I wanted to try some slide/transparency film so I went at it... they're nothing special.. the first 2 are super long exposures, one is about 3 minutes, the other is like 1.5-2.... They're shot at around f/45... the last one is "wide open" at f/4.7... They're scanned using a Hasselblad Imacon Flextight 5... they're comparable to about a 60-70 megapixel camera....

Interesting shots. The colors look more real than digital. Lot's of different temperature lights in that first one.

Thanks!

The image quality produced by the x5 seems pretty outstanding. Do you own it yourself? I wish I had a good place to get my med. format negatives scanned...

What kind of value rating (as compared to ease of use and image quality) do you give the scanner?

Yup it's mine. It's beautiful. It has a little learning curve but once you get it down you're golden. I give it a 9/10. If you need a few scanned feel free to send them to me. It's not that difficult for me to do.
