Beautiful subject or not it is definately the smile that makes this shot. If she wasn't smiling it wouldn't have the impact of this image.

Being a beautiful subject doesn't harm the image either;)

my thoughts exactly

Mine too!!!

But slightly more seriously, I think this looks like an advert for Starbucks! Which I'm saying as a compliment. It makes me feel warm 'n' fuzzy inside, and definitely in need of a drip coffee, large, with a white chocolate cookie!!!

Oh, and if she was a complete stranger, I'm doubly impressed....last time I was in London Town, everybody looked knackered and well pissed off! Mind you, that was in between Xmas and New Year's Eve.
;)

Thank you guys, really appreciate the kind comments :)

She was a total stranger.
That day was my dad's passing anniversary and I had also broken up with my girlfriend earlier that week so I was in a really poor mood and state of mind so I took to the streets of london to take some snaps and change my mood!

Its good to know that you guys like the shot, thanks alot :)

absolutely amazing!
love how her head is in the vanishing point, so that all the lines sort of point to her.
and I love the reds and blues on the right.

Sorry to hear you'd had a crappy week.
If it's any consolation, the shot was a winner!

Simon

That really is a great shot! Catching her smiling is what really does it for me.

I rarely drink Starbuck's coffee as there are no Starbucks (or any other fast food chain) here in Laos.. I'll grab a Starbucks when in Thailand (about once a month) because it's the only place to get a decent coffee in Thailand..

Without making you all jealous the coffee in Laos is brilliant (what do you reckon Simon;)),, locally grown and Vientiane is Cafe City..

Jurgen the caffeine head!!

It appears she's enjoying the experience (or coffee)..

I would have lifted the exposure a bit during post processing..

Knowing Starbuck's coffee it must surely be the experience.....

It is a great image - I like the contrast and saturation. It just looks good.

The connection with the camera makes it. This is so much better than I was expecting from the title hahaha.
