If you're referring to a single camera lens its spelt that exact way 'lens', not 'lense'!!
enough from me...

As long as we are talking about spelling and grammar. If you ARE referring to a single camera lens, it is SPELLED ...........

Just saying....... enough from me. :D

As long as I understand the OP or what he's saying the spelling and grammar dose not have to be right IMO.;)

Aren't you all clever i forgot to add a word whoops, and FYI the word spelt is used in a correct manner here. If im not mistaken it refers to the past tense of spell i.e spelt. But back to the main point, why do so many people believe its SPELT lense?

Since we're being the grammar/spelling police, "its" should be "it's". ;)
Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I stand corrected. According to the dictionary the word spelt is "chiefly Brit past and present part of spell" But, I stand corrected again, as the dictionary does list LENS, as well as LENSE. (Websters Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary)

Live and learn, thanks.

im should be "I'm"

I also would have punctuated with a comma after clever. Nor did you need one after whoops being followed with and.

Cheers,

just to fuel the fire
"spelt" is the original
"spelled" is a bastardisation of the original English, similar to how so many publications (usually american) refer to "shined" when the past tense is "shone"

Bear in mind that not all visitors first language is English (or American even lol) ;)

I actually recieved a PM from someone on these boards telling me I spelt something wrong!

I dont get people that get wound up over spelling, if you understand then really who gives a **** Now mix up a 5D with a 5D mark 2, or a nikon with a canon model, thats a different story :p

oRGie - I am an EOS and the 7D was my idea
