Just to bring some reality back....'the impression given in the original post was that it was a fully functioning camera.' It wasn't until ppl started giving the OP the negative feedback that he 'fessed up that it was broken.

The poster wanted people to think it was a working camera. He made a point of shooting shots before destroying it.

I felt a bit sad watching this (even now faster knowing it was broken)

The D50 was my first DSLR and I'm trying to convince my friend to give me hers ;)
