so yes, no.. looks like crap... you're a hack sell your camera.... I was hoping for some opinions on this shot. Its part of a series that I am about to frame and try to sell.

Overall, they look pretty bright. I don't know how that will play as a print. This might be one of those times when a gradient background would look really good.

I too think they are a little on the bright side. What is your goal with these images?
Fav being the first shot, nice job on composition and drawing the eye through the frame.

I was really trying to get a handle on the whole "high key" thing. Blowing out the background with out blowing the subject. I guess I am pushing a little too far. Some have told me that the flowers dont look real. Ihave tried a low key version (at lest I think it classifies as low key), see below.

the black BG is definitely way better, attention is on the flowers. on the white one, it was waaay to bright to even look at for 20 seconds..

ok, so I prefer the white BG, to me it looks fresher and more vibrant while the black BG just makes them look ordinary. also if I was looking to buy the prints I would like the subjects to be perfect, ie no dead bits on the ends of the leaves etc. Just my unlearned opinion
