As I was waiting for the pics to load, I was wondering where there are Whitetails in CA? Then once the pics became visible I realized; they're actually Blacktail Deer, or possibly a Mule Deer (Blacktailed Deer and Mule Deer are closely related and very similar). Whitetails have smaller ears and the distinctive, huge, white tail.  HOSTED PHOTO please log in to view hosted photos in full size. "Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.

If you don't see the big white "flag" when it's running away from you, then it's not a Whitetail. Thanks for the correction, as you can see I don't know my deers.
