Looking to buy a 100mm "L" from amazon when the rebates kicked in, which is today.

went to the site, put item in cart & it's the same price it's been all week, although they do state that the price in the cart reflects a $65 rebate savings.

They're keepin the whole rebate???? wasssup wid dat???

You have to generally check out completely to see the rebate applied.
You can check this out by completing the purchase, and if it isn't applied, you can immediately cancel the order, or contact Amazon Customer Service (they have an instant call-back system) and get them to adjust it, but I doubt that will be necessary.

would this rebate still be good thru canon? the only reason I want to purchase as Amazon as this seller is they are offering 12 month no interest.

Since you already bought it from Adorama it doesn't matter, but Amazon isn't always first to the gate with Instant Rebates. It ocassionally takes them a day or two to adjust pricing. Not sure why, but it does. Enjoy the lens.

I photograph to find out what something will look like photographed.

I just bought this lens from Adorama on eBay with Bing cashback. The lens was $884 less $70.72 cashback less another $17.68 eBay Bucks. I have been trying to buy this lens used on POTN but was always too late. It worked out in the long run.
