Help! My Rebel XT/350D Won't Turn On

My Rebel XT was working fine up until last night. I was trying to install CHDK but after the "leave on for 30 seconds after the blue light is solidly lit" step, It won't turn on again.

I tried different CF cards, removing the lens, removing the backup battery, letting sit without battery overnight.

When I try to turn it on, the CF light blinks once and there is no other response.

Any ideas? Can I somehow re-load the original Canon firmware?

Did you have a fully-charged battery in before the update? If something messed up during the install, you might have to see a service center.

Yes, battery was right off the charger. Is there somthing I can try myself that would restore the firmware?
