Thier loyalty codes are not unique.... share with your POTN brothers... lol

Nevermind..... code is..... AALOYAL

Then add code: LOYALTY15

Not a bad price... i think I paid $400 for mine second hand.

I wouldn't be surprised if this lens is being discontinued since there is the newer 10-20 f/3.5 and the new 8-16mm coming out. Still a great lens though!

Use 'dnews15' to add 15% off. Doesn't work on a 50 1.4 though.

Bought this Sunday night, as I was able to get the loyalty codes to work. And I just got the old "bait and switch" call from Abe's of Maine. No I don't want any filters or an extended warranty. I hope this is indeed a reputable dealer... he promised the lens would be shipped right away!

I got a call and missed it. Asking to verify my order details. Sent an e-mail back saying they were correct and my lens was shipped shortly after. Im sure they try to 'upsell' you and add filters accessories but I have never heard anything about them being a bait and switch operation.

They also have a pretty good reseller rating.

That's good to hear. And you're right, I probably should have called their method the "bait and upsell" rather than bait and switch. "George" from Abe's was very persistent, though... gotta give him that.
