Oh, come one, Jay. Is that all you got?

Just kidding of course. Great shots. I dig the A-10 conversion.

Um, thanks for the assist...

You always crack me up man!

So that's where you've been. Haven't seen you around much last week.

Again, You're the bomb, blah, blah, blah, I want to be you, blah, blah, blah, we're not worthy, blah, blah, blah...

Nice set man, really great A-10 shot. That looks like a workin' 'Hog to me!

Just a question about your gear, why did you choose to put the 300 and 1.4TC on the 40D and not on the 1D MkIII? You just wanted more reach with the crop?

Excellent work, Jay. I like the Prowler and the BONE takeoff the best.

Thanks! My first time seeing a Prowler "in anger" and the B-1 is, well, just flat out cool. Truth be told: The Hornets of El Centro are still tops for scrambling your internal organs. The B-1 didn't quite generate the ear-muff penetrating frequency range.

Very nice stuff! I'll take luck when it happens along, and getting access helps, too.

Thanks Frank. What is it "they" say? Luck = Preparation meeting Opportunity? ;)

Good ones, as usual Jay - tfs ! ;)

Thanks! :D

Did you see the "Art" version I posted? Man, working Hogs are a far cry from East/West Demo Hogs. 30mm kicks out a lot of cordite!

It would make a great outing for AzAP sometime.

I could have easily shot without the TC and could (should) have removed it. It's one of those grey areas. Now if I'd used the 2X, I could have shot them further up the runway but probably wouldn't have gotten much in flight shots. Maybe the 100-400 might have been a better choice? Live and Learn. I'm pretty satisfied with how things turned out.

as usual great stuff Jay,
I'm liking the first shot of Tbird 3 taking off with the A-10 in the background, but all are great!

Yes I did. I like it. I have had the opportunity to see some A-10s during drills while I was in the military. When that 30 kicks off, it's one helluva sound and things start disappearing. What a site.

Beautiful as usual, Jay. Were you out there with any of the ISAP guys from the 'Mustang Air-to-Air Thread over on fredmiranda.com? They sound like a great group of guys and girls...

Oddly enough, he's actually rolling out after landing but I just noticed that there are no speed brakes deployed so it is hard to tell. Aerodynamic braking in use I guess. :D

Some have described it as sounding like the "Giant Zipper of Death!" I'm hoping to get a chance to visit the live fire area of the Goldwater Range west of Tucson. The AZ Pilots Association has outings down there a couple times a year and I jumped on the email list but haven't heard anything back yet. Guess I'd better go rattle their cage again.

AH! So that's what that t-shirt meant. There were maybe a half dozen or so guys wearing them and I didn't make the connection to that thread on FM. Thanks for the positive feedback and for clearing up a minor mystery for me. I wonder if that's how they went about arranging the unofficial road trip up to Creech AFB...? Maybe I need to go jump in that mix on FM (like I need another site to visit...)

Don't Hate .. Participate! Hopefully they'll have the event in SD next year and we'll have AZ well represented.

Seriously, Jay...If you ever need a "backup shooter" for one of these trips, let me know! I'd love to have a day or two to learn some shooting tips from you and have the chance to capture some of these planes.

You're work is some of the absolute best on POTN, as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for sharing these with us!
