My Sigma 24mm f/1.8 EX DG macro is the most underrated lens in my arsenal. I love the quality wide open, love the macro abilities and looks great on my 5d mkII. It's probably as fast (or slow) as my 85L and def. a lot louder... but I don't mind that at all.

What's your most underrated lens?

all wide open:

Jeeze... all my lenses are under rated... by someone =P

I'll pick Nifty Fifty just to stir up some bees =P

(Although I think my sigma 10-20 and 105 macro are more underrated)

Probably my 200mm ƒ/2.8L or 24mm ƒ/2.8. (although I haven't used the latter enough to comment on it)

Apparently I've been dubbed Foxy.

Probably my siggy 20 1.8
reviews are all pretty lousy and rate this lens low, i have however found that on both the 5dC and my 7D that the sharpness wide open is EXCEPTIONAL. Couldnt be happier tbh.
Heres a sharpness test on a friends eye.

100% crop and full image on 7d, siggy 20mm f1.8 wide open

Tokina 35mm macro. One of my sharpest lenses, only slightly second behind the 100mm macro.

Some of my lenses focus beyond infinity...!

None of mine are really underrated at all, but out of them, the 50mm 1.8 I would say. I find it great to use, and the slow AF doesn't really hinder me at all. For the $60 I paid, it was more than worth it! :D

My EF 28 mm 2.8 seems to be losing ground to the extremely popular Sigma 30 1.4. I love the portability (probably Canon's smallest lens) and sharpness of the 28. Somewhat noisy AF, but hey, at least it AFs correctly...

Wish I had a FF camera to get a bit wider, but the MFD is really nice (clickable):

Mine is definitely the 20mm USM. It's a great little lens that I think is generally overlooked because of the number of excellent zooms that cover that focal length and the fact that 20mm isn't really wide enough for most ppl on a 1.6x crop camera. I find it just right for standard wide shots on the 1D and it performs flawlessly.
