Just a third party tube. I have a set of three and used the smallest of them for this. The photo is about a 3/4 of the area of the original shot. Blog

If so..... have you ever missed it since the trade? I plan to. I just got the f/2.8 IS II last week and have only had one outing with it, and my goodness, the weight difference! I can imagine it would be nice to keep the lighter lens for those times when I won't be going wider than f/4 and/or won't need IS, but I can't justify keeping the funds tied up like that. Better to recover some of my upgrade cost.

I think a little pee came out. Shot with 5D MKII in Large JPEG, 1/40, f/2.8, and just a 1/2 stop increase in exposure via LR3. 2. Mr. Itchy

fishingjts Senior Member 984 posts Likes: 1 Joined Jan 2004 More info | These wide open shots are killing me! My 70-200L F4 IS died and I've been agonizing all weekend whether I should take this chance to move up to this lens... I don't normally need the 2.8 for the extra light (there are times i do...), I need it more for the shallower DOF... and after seeing some of the wide open shots.... let's just say my 2.8 should be here Thursday... 5D Mark II Gripped | 24-105L | 70-200L F2.8 IS II | 430EX | G16

If so..... have you ever missed it since the trade? I sold my f/4 and made the jump. I shoot mostly weddings though, so unless the ceremony was outside during the day the lens was not practical for me and I didn't use it much. I don't think I will miss it, although the new one is significatly more heavy. Mr. Itchy
