I can imagine it would be nice to keep the lighter lens for those times when I won't be going wider than f/4 and/or won't need IS, but I can't justify keeping the funds tied up like that. Better to recover some of my upgrade cost.

My 70-200L F4 IS died and I've been agonizing all weekend whether I should take this chance to move up to this lens... I shoot mostly weddings though, so unless the ceremony was outside during the day the lens was not practical for me and I didn't use it much.
