This lens is so sharp at f2.8. It pairs well with the 1ds MKII too.

Thanks Julian. She's a tough one too. Can't tell from the pic but it was in the mid 50's - California weather :)

Very nice work Sonny ... very lovely model, lovely complimentary pose and dress.
Couple of suggestions if you don't mind - a narrower / tighter crop might work on this to emphasise her slender shape?? ... and its perhaps just a touch hot/bright in places - not drastically, but if this were my photo, I might be tempted to take that slight edge off it.
Like I said though, really like the shot though, just trying to add some constructive comments/ideas ;)

Disclaimer for rest of post: This is basically a repost as I already put this in the 5D2 thread, but thought some here might like to see this since its shot with the 1.4x tele ...

How to kill two birds with one, ermmm ... cactus??!!
... something like that anyway :D

In case anyone cares ... EXIF for photo:
5D2 and 70-200 f2.8 IS MKII at 280mm (using Kenko DGX Pro 300 MKII 1.4x teleconverter)
f8 | 1/640 sec | ISO 800

... impressive thing for me was how sharp the 100% crop is of this and all the other images taken with this setup ... if you were bored, you really could spend all day counting the bird's individual feathers, they are THAT sharp

... and in case anyone wants to see this ... 100% crop attached:

Just ordered mine this morning. I was impatient and had to have overnight shipping, so I should get it tomorrow.

Indeed. I've been wanting a 70-200 IS lens since I started in photography a couple of years ago. It was a long wait, but I'm glad that the new version came out so I could get the best.

That's it. My MK I has been photographed and ready to list on eBay. I fought it for long enough. Thankfully it doesn't really look any different to the MK I so with skill and care the wife shouldn't notice I've changed it.

Hehe! Hiding it from the wife? :) Anyways, you'll love this lens.
