Shot these a couple of days ago. Noticed this cat relaxing in our backyard while I worked in my garage. Ran to my office, picked up my gear and ran back outside. (I ran because usually if I don't by the time I go outside with my gear, the animal has already fled away).

The cat did not have green eyes! ;) Thank You Grass

I've been working to do the best I can do ever since getting the new glass. Here is one of my improved captures. Still need that good body to finish the upgrade.

After using the II at our most recent horse shows, I don't think we can go back to the I. It's so much better in quality. Too bad our sales have yet to reflect that. I think once this is printed on a 20 x 30 sample they might ;)

Shot at f/2.8 (dont ask why, we definitely could have shot at f/4 and gotten even better results, but live and learn, right?) at 1/250 ISO 250 with 2 Alien Bee 800's shot into the ceiling. I'm guessing the noise is actually dust. Sitting in an area for that long will do that.

Too much PP IMHO. Camera body aside, you should be able to still produce some nice images with the lens without having to take the photos to the extreme in PP.

Thanks! It was only my 3rd time shooting softball, with the first time being with a 70-200 4L that I sold to get this bad boy. I'm starting to get the hang of shooting the batters, but I can't wait to get more field experience.

This thread is definitely not friendly on the wallet!

Thanks Julian. My office is less than 1/4 from the end of the runway. Not a bad arrangement for a aviation photography addict ;)
