Don't make me force you to spend more money! ;)

Hahaha.. you can't even if you tried. I'm having neighbor issues at the moment. Whatever funds I had planned on spending on photography gear is going to be chewed up. Neighbor upstairs had a leaky shower, soaked through our bathroom ceiling. Aside from holes in the ceiling, there's some lovely (what looks to be) mold issues.

All this would have been fixed and done with a long time ago, except... and here's the kicker... she does NOT have home owner's insurance it seems. Wut the hell...

This might get ugly. It's been a frustrating 2.5 months dealing with this BS.

Good thing the 5D3 is delayed until nooneknowswhen.

I don't use a UV filter since the lens hood should do the job. :)

Took this one today while my dad was gaming, had to completely whiten the background to isolate him as much as possible! Here's the result:

I'm on the point of selling this lens.
It's a great lens, don't take me wrong, but I only use it when I photograph concerts and that's not a lot.

I have received an offer of 1750 euro's and with that momney I could get a 135L and keep the change. What do you guys think?

Congrats Sandra and cmosman! I too joined the ranks and ordered one today. Can't wait to contribute to this thread.

Jelle, good luck on your sale. Shouldn't be too hard to sell it at all.

I hear you, Jay.... I have a T2i... So my lens is costing me 3times as much as my camera.
But after renting it, I felt like I really couldn't live without one!

haha. But you know what your one of the wise ones on this board... spending your $$$ where it counts most... on glass! Now that you have this lens... you wont need another 70-200 for possibly 10 years and maybe ever more! You know how many camera bodies might come out by then? Who knows... 3-4 easily!

I have seen some spectacular images from rebel xt's with great glass and a photog that has spent the time to learn and has the creative skill's to make great images.

I was one of those that didn't listen early on, lol, and spent the money on camera bodies only to realize that everyone was right and that I should have spent the $$$ on the glass. Actually did this twice no less! Then sold everything and started over but this time with better glass.

As much as I would love to have a 5D Mark II or soon a 5D Mark III Im gunna save up and put the money towards the glass and just get another old 5Dc since I need two camera's here soon.

I used to read about these things and used to think how silly.... but this one damn saying that is so true in the world of digital photography and video:

"Amateurs worry about camera's, pro's worry about lenses and masters worry about light." Ill never forget this one ever. Hence my quote in my sig from Zach Arias.

Enjoy the lens. I still need to get a few more lights, small accessories, and a 50mm prime. And then Ill finally get this lens somewhere down road and a second body. Until then Ill enjoy all of your images in this thread :D
