Just got mine today, here's the first few shots....First two are wide open....Really amazing how sharp this zoom is, prime sharp from top to bottom, also, the contrast has been boosted some as well. Really loving it.

Congratulations Matt! I can't wait to see your stuff. I was always crazy about your Kegma shots...
Unfortunately, right now all I'm seeing in the shots above is a "no entry" symbol :( Maybe because I'm in Taiwan?

Here are a couple more from the beach yesterday.

I'm jealous Al. That mk3 really focuses well with the 70-200 (running kid towards you).

Is that your daughter? why the sad face?

Yeah, it does focus well, but I have a very similar shot with the 5d2 (same model, even), so it isn't exactly night and day...

And yeah, it's my daughter looking like she's about to cry there. I have no idea why, to be honest. I was rather surprised when I processed the pictures and saw it. She had a great time all day. Both my daughters wax a bit dramatic, at times so it wasn't anything big:)
(I just called my daughter in and asked her what was the matter. She was as surprised as I was:lol:)

And Matt, I can see your pictures now. I don't know what was up before. Your daughter looks really lovely!

hmmm.. your daughter must have been on the process of breaking a smile but ended up with an expression that resembles a frown.. IDK. LOL

I guess the AF plus the 70-200 will really shine on low light scenes with moving subjects. You have a high ISO performance to boot as well so I guess I'll wait till you get a chance to do that. :)

Too bad that driving a car that low, is brutal in Houston lol. The roads are horrendous! Nevermind the low profile tires...impact break waiting to happen on a pothole.

Only reason I went with the Maxima, over the 350Z was the fact that I would have had to drive approximately 20 mph to avoid damaging the frame or the tires :D

Nice shot, btw.

Thanks guys!

Strontium, yeah riding low and stanced out is definitely not for everybody. My G is slightly dropped and its still drivable here in houston. Slightly bumpy ride in some roads but I can live with that since I enjoy the handling much better :)
