I barely use/apply sharpening with this lens. I adjust the exposure and white balance and toning.. Crop it sometimes, that's about it

I agree, this lens is as sharp if not sharper than my 300/2.8IS was, and that's saying something...This was my first week with it and I'm definitely blown away.

I can't hear the IS at all...When I first got it I wasn't sure if it was even working because I couldn't here it and it doesn't "jump" at all, like all the other IS lenses I've owned. I can only hear it if I put my ear to the lens.
