I love my 40D, but lens changes are annoying so I am considering a backup body. Options range from 300D, 350D, 400D, 10D, 20D, 30D. Any others I should consider? I am trying to keep cost down, around $150-200.

A xxxD or xxxxD series will be lighter and easier to carry as you will now have two bodies, but I think for ease of use, a 20D is the best for you. Will | WilliamLiuPhotography.com

That's why I got rid of my 400D. I loved the camera but hated having different batteries and chargers. I got my 20D with grip for $250... IMO a really good deal but if you look hard enough you can find one too. Sony A6000, 16-50PZ, 55-210, 35mm 1.8 OSS

I recently bought a nice 30D with 18-55 kit for 300, and a 40D body really nice for 500 US, so deals "are out there." Both these were local area Craigslist All my lenses are either EF or third party. No issue with the 10D. 5D2 || Σ 50 1.4 || 24-105L || 430EX ||
