Hi all,

I'm taking my wife, three friends and a model on a cruise to Bermuda in May. The model and I will be shooting on the ship and the Island each day.

I'll handle locations on the ship but if anybody out there has experience in location shooting on Bermuda can you make some suggestions please? I'm looking for places a bit off the tourist path so that we don't have a background full of people.

Ideas anyone?

Thanks.

Haven't been, so subscribing to this thread. We are stopping in Bermuda for a day in late June, so I will be reading your responses with interest.

Make sure you post up some thoughts & photos after your visit.

My sister lived in Bermuda for 10 years, so I've spent a lot of time there, but I was much younger and my main memory was the "Cock and Feather Pub" in Hamilton, and the "birdcage" that the police stand in to direct traffic around the circle downtown. However, those memories are iffy and alcohol impaired. I wouldn't worry too much about figuring it out in advance. Unless you are in downtown Hamilton, there are plenty of great photo places that you will just "encounter" as you drive around. The crazy colored houses are fun to photograph, as is the sight of every guy wearing Bermuda shorts -- business suits have matching bermuda shorts and all the guys wear them. it is fun to see women dressed up in business suits, cocktail dresses, etc. and driving scooters while wearing these unlikely clothes. I always found that amusing. There are lots of high cliffs to take stunning ocean shots from too. Enjoy and be sure to post your shots!

Pictures are here: http://bilsen.zenfolio.com (external link) BUT they aren't about scenery other than Dusty, who is most scenic.
