OK, here are a few obligatory duck shots!

Both were tripod mounted, self timer, ISO 100, IS OFF @ 200mm, no PP, only converted and resized in DPP.

F 2.8

This is @ 200mm with a Kenko Pro 1.4x TC, same settings as above.

I've been browsing through this forum for a while and was wondering whether or not to join, but after reading this tread and saw how a community could do such a gracious act to one of it's own confirmed my decision to join. I never realized what a great community P.O.T.N was. Congratulations BucketMan you really deserve this lens, I hope that you enjoy it to the fullest and that you keep such strong moral principles throughout the rest of your life.

I'd like to see what a lot of the posters in this thread would be acting like in real life if they were about to be out of pocket $950...............squeeling like stuck pigs I reckon.

I'd do what BucketMan is doing, checking into his options and what happens, happens. One difference for me though, I wouldn't have posted my situation on the forum, possibly the outcome but not during the course as it obviously is causing so much drama with some posters.

Keep reading Lindsey. ;)

I just got through it all and am totally amazed by the generosity of folks! I meant to subscribe to this thread back on page 3 but I didn't :( Only tonight am I catching up on all the news and honestly I'm feeling a little down... I had transferred some funds from my PayPal to my bank account and intentionally left $50 in there just in case a fund was set up. Well I missed out on the opportunity to help BucketMan out but I'm thrilled that he's gotten the lens he deserves! I'll have to look for another great way for the funds to create some karma elsewhere ;-)a

Great job Derek & all the POTNrs who contributed.
BucketMan, enjoying every mm of your new 70-200, you deserve it more than any person I know!
