Currently using a 10D, getting a 5D next week and will get a 70-200MM L 4 in a couple of more weeks. I have read and seen on other threads 17-40L , 24-105L and 50 mm 1.4 are all fantastic. What do you like?

All those. Seems the 135mm f2 is a popular lens too.

I just got a 5D less than a week ago, and for me, the 24-70 is my favourite lens on it. Full frame has breathed new life into this lens for me. The 135 is pretty awesome as well, although it is pretty awesome on any camera!

24-70 without a doubt.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Depends on what focal length you prefer on the crop. For me it'd probably be the 70-200, followed by the 24-70.

For me it's a toss up between the 35L and 85L. Pics from those two lenses look amazing. I always use these two the most anytime I get the chance

My 17-40 rarely comes off of my 5D but I'm REALLY considering the 16-35ii but eesh. It just cost so much. The 17-40 is definitely my most favorite lens and the 50 1.4 comes in second.

I originally had the 17-40 and then got the 16-35. If you really like the 17-40 that much you should definately get the 16-35. Its an awsome lens and is also on my 5D-2 alot of the time. Especially since the 24-70 is so damn heavy. Great lens!

The Sigma 50/1.4 is my current "flavor of the month" (for the past several months), but the 24-70 rocks on FF, as do the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8, the 85/1.8 and the 135L, of course.

If I could afford the 35L, it'd probably be my next lens.

All of them! Seriously, there's not one EF lens that doesn't work well on a 5D.

One more vote for the brick. The 70-200 2.8 IS produces some great shots with the 5D, but the 24-70 range makes it a great walkaround lens.
