Got bored today and decided to do something new.
I went and picked up some incense and started fooling around with it. finding out how to light it took a little while but then it all just came together.

had to bump the ISO to 1000 but my next setup will allow for more light and lower ISO and therefore lower noise ;)

Those are fantastic. I really like the reflection concept in the last shot and the rings in the first. Keep it up.

You should be able to shoot at ISO 100.

When I did some I shot ISO 100, 1/200, f/10. I think it was 1/2 or full power.

Put something on either side of the flash to avoid spill on to your background. I basically made a tunnel around the flash to keep it from going anywhere but on the smoke.

thanks guys :)

But no Setup so to speak. Just incense in the floor, suitcase for a black background since I had nothing else available, canon 580ExII shot from the side to freeze/highlight the smoke and a sigma 70-300 macro.
Then I just threw the white balance way off for some color.

Next time I'll set up some proper lighting to be able to shoot at faster shutter speeds and lower ISO.
