Hello all,
I am having difficulties understanding the various bracket products out there, and how to assess my needs.

As I have said many times, I am a newbie. And probably always will be. ;)

I have recently purchased a 430 exii and "inherited" suddenly a 580 ex (not the ii), so I was wondering if there is a way to use them on a bracket type of device (triggered vis a vis 7d controller, or otherwise) - or if what I am imagining is inappropriate....

but I get off the point of my question...is there any summary document or can someone here give a run down on the (generally recognized) types of brackets and why someone would use them? pros and cons of "each" version.....

thanks a lot. Google here was less than stellar.
