Yeah, we must be pretty close together. What sort of stuff do you like to shoot? I try and get out on trips fairly often and am always open to carpooling with like minded photographers and split petrol costs.
I'm very new to this digital lark. I used to do a lot way back when Tamla Mowtown was young, but drifted away into other, more energetic pastimes. Now my body is old and broken I've decided to return to my first love. My main problem is getting used to modern terminology and technology.
I'm not a great lover of portrait/indoor photography, but almost anything else is on the menu. I particularly like the oddball bits and pieces that are all over if you look for them. Post industrial archaelogy - all the workings and buildings in Coniston & Swaledale interest me. That sort of thing. Plus wildlife, though with only a basic 450D and lens my scope is limited.
Sounds like you are way above my present level, but if you want to put up with a newby then I'm in Ainsdale, just off Gleneagles Drive.
