Hi, I have been searching for a tripod for a while...

my height is around 5'9".

I originally wanted the manfrotto 190xprob or 055xporb with 498rc2 for around $200++ but I feel like it is too expensive for me... I know I should get a good tripod..recently I read about the benro and that it is more stable than the 190xprob. I can get it for under $100.

The tripod A500ex has favorable reviews, but the ballhead I might replace it sooner...

I will use it for my 500D with either tamron 18-270mm or soon to have tokina 11-16mm :)

Anybody using this brand specially this particular models? please feedback guys. thanks

It is rated at 6kg only.. but I recon I only carry around 4KG... i bought this set up for $80 only. and it held my 500D with batt grip and tamron 18-270 in any angle. I am quite satisfied.... I ended up with this after consider the manfrotto 055xprob +498rc2 because I just can't afford it YET.

uhhmmm I haven't measured it really... but the center column is around 14inches I think... so i guess thats about how low it would get. height is around 5ft, and if the column is extended maybe around 5'10ft.

its only an estimate...

I use the BH-1 ballhead and had I known what I known now, I would have not gotten that model. I wouldve just paid a little more and purchase the Benro B-0 or other brand equivalent. I plan on purchasing a few Arca QR plates and having them NOT be compatible with my ballhead is annoying.

I actually know that the BH-1 is not very good.. but the stores here sell the A500ex+BH1 as set...so I will just use this ballhead until such time that it can't hold my gears already. I got this set for only $80 so what's there to complain :lol:
