I noticed these Manfrotto clamps in an odd use...

I was walking through JCPenney today and I saw that their new signage is held up with Manfrotto super clamps.

I know, I just think it's odd that they couldn't find a cheaper solution. Those clamps are expensive.

I think I'd be approaching someone in the store asking if they might be had "cheap" once that display has run its course...

Actually, I think the "look" is intentional. It provides a very "techie" or "mechanical" look that fits the demographics and products.

I use to work at kohls years ago and they use the same system for signage.... when I left I took a dozen clamps and such with me haha,

They would have most likly ended up in the trash anyway.
Local clothing store had renovations underway when I saw metal shelving sitting outside , I asked and they had no idea what they were doing with then a week later it all ended up in the huge dumpster.
