All shot with 1D MKIII, 100-400 & 1.4x with most being shot at 560mm. (first time shooting aviation)

You did very well for your first time shooting aviation... a lot better than my first time!

Thanks. The toughest part was holding my 1.5 year old or pushing him in the stroller at the same time (wife is out of town). The smoke also made things a bit challenging.

Thanks Jay. I really enjoy looking over the aviation shots in your Zenfolio so I definitely appreciate the compliment.

BTW, I liked this first outing with the 100-400 but I would have loved a 400L with the 1.4x. I've been debating adding a 300 2.8IS and selling the 100-400 but this lens is pretty convenient.

obviously slower shutter speed for prop planes/helicopters otherwise excellent
