Question about Canon Remote

I just picked up a remote for the XSi, but I have a question.

Everytime I take a picture, it defaults to having a 10 second delay. Is there a way I can change that to have a shorter delay so I don't have to wait 10 seconds everytime I use the remote?

Thank you.

Are you using the self-timer/remote control setting when using the RS60E3? If so, that is your problem. Unlike the RC1 wireless remote, the RS60E3 works in all shutter modes. Set your shutter to single shot or continuous unless you want the timer function.

Hey, thanks. I was unaware it worked in all shutter modes. Thank you for clearing that up for me.
