I think I may finally have my dream lens lineup. Other then wanting a couple of primes such as the 30 f/1.4 and 85 f/1.8 for very low light conditions I must say I feel pretty content. Now with nothing to chase to buy what do I do? Lol. Sorry for the silly post, just excited at the moment.

If you really want more stuff to buy, tell us what your interests are, you lineup is good in general, but more specific tasks make take either more specific lenses or other equipment.

However in general you can always get a FF camera, then you will need a new ultra wide and walk around =P

You know, I said this before, and I promised myself not to buy anything till 6 months later. This was September of last year. And then I went on a buying spree after breaking my Nifty Fifty. 430 EX II + 17-55mm IS. I think I have my ideal lineup for what my money can get. The 70-200L (any one of the 4) will require a giant investment, and I'm guessing the cheapest one (the f/4.0 non IS) is probably not gonna be a big enough upgrade for me over my cheap 55-250 so it means I'm looking to drop close to 1k to advance the next level. That or a new body (7D?).

So yes, go out and take some photos. You'll be happy. I'm looking at my first real shots with the 17-55, and I'm drooling over the sharpness. WOW.

Nope not really looking to get any more lenses. I just need to spend more time in front of the camera then in front of the computer screen. I'm already working on planning a couple of trips to try and get some great photos. I'd really like to get out to AZ and UT and check out the Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, and whatever else I can find in the area. Also may end up in Seattle to visit family. Hopefully I can break away and take a little side trip to Mt. Rainier and then one to Vancouver. Who knows. The only lens purchase I am considering is swapping out my 50 f/1.4 for a sigma 30f/1.4 and canon 85 f/1.8 to give myself more of range with fast primes.

I have some vacation time coming. Not planning to do them really, really close together. Just two trips I know I want to take soon. I will probably be forced to do the Seattle trip first since its family. Then hopefully I can work the other trip in before the end of the year.

I would add a Canon 60mm f2.8 macro to that lineup and at least another flash for a dual setup, like the 580EX.

Sony A1, 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II, 70-200mm F/2.8 GM OSS II, 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS, 35mm f/1.4 GM, Viltrox 16mm f/1.8, 1.4X TC, Flashpoint flashes
