Some of you know that Ron has been around the bike world for a while. In 2004 he won the World Biker Build-Off. (external link)
I first met him about 40 years ago when I shot several dozen of his custom gas tanks. (My first paid product shoot.) Yesterday, I ran into him at the Gibralter show, & here's what he's been up to lately.

From his site: "Outsider" is Finch's first-ever motorcycle with a sidecar, whitewalls, and stereo! The frame and sidecar were completely created from steel tubing and rod, found metal, tools, chains and gears! It has a 100 cu. in. Crqzy Horse Engine, Evil Engineering Belt Drive, Ride Wright Wheels, & Gardner-Westcott Fasteners.

Ron said, "I'm a painter, so I'm going to paint it." I told him to leave it alone.

I'm not a motorcycle fan, but that is one bad mother! I agree, it would be a shame to paint it though. She looks sweet in polished bare metal.

Frank, I truly agree with you telling Ron to leave this bike alone. It really looks like a Memorial to Indian Larry. Great photos, and Rons work is always top notch.

Nice shots Frank. I agree x2 to not paint. Looks like a good turnout at the bike show.

Hmmmm....no gas tank? Love the natural finish. Is it plated with something to keep it from rusting?

I suspect that the tank is in the back of the sidecar, but I didn't try to trace connections from the carbs.

I doubt that it's plated as I said above that he intends to paint it.

nice bike but WAY too much noise... something that can be tweaked with levels and contrast/light readjustment and/or noise reduction

I'd hate to see it if it got wet! But it would make for some interesting photos with some "patina" on it!
