YN-460 II Vs YN-467

Hi Folks

I need help, I'v just purchased my first DSLR a EOS 550D and I'm looking for a cheap but effective flash mainly for OCF that doesn't whine like the YN-460 in the link below as I really hate that high pitched noise.

Is there any models that don't whine?

I'm looking to buy either 2x 460 II or 1x 467 depending on what offers the best performance in speed and power Vs price.

From the specs I'v seen the 467 has a faster recycle time but the 460 II is more powerful as has more GN?

I also want to be able to fire a few wireless continuous shots with the flash/s, is that possible with these and what receivers would anyone recommend?

There are a couple of threads on this already. I'm going to order these next week and would like to know if one would be a better overall option than the other too.

Yeh I know I looked through the other threads but they didn't (as far as I could tell) mention the noise level from the capacitors etc from the different models.
Also it doesn't look like many people have had experience of the 467 yet? I'm a complete novice and am trying to work out what specs mean what and which are more important than others...

Sorry I wasn't trying to come off like that, I too want to know more about the details and differences and if it's worth the extra $$ to go for the 67 over the 60. I'm not to worried about the noise but mainly want to know if the fast recycle is better over the power advantage. I've seen most of the reviews on youtube (those I could understand anyways haha) and am still a bit stuck. I might just order the 67 because it is only $10 more and the faster recycle would be nice for what I shoot.

The 467 has ettl... the 460 does not... kind of a big deal IMO. As for the noise, no clue, hopefully someone can chime in.

I think I read somewhere that one of the newer YN's, might have been the 465, doesn't have the whine anymore. I've got two YN460's and I do get sick of it but if you have something else going at the same time (music, talking) then you don't worry too much.

But if I was buying one of the newer ones, I'd go for YN467 over the YN465 or whatever. If I wanted E-TTL, that is. If I didn't want/need E-TTL, I'd just buy the YN460 Mark II, no doubt about it.

That's pretty much what I've got, except the YN467 that you'll get is a 430EX II. 2 manual flashes which I'll use for OCF because they're so easy to change settings and the 430EX II for when I want on-camera E-TTL.

I'm guessing I'l just get 2x 460 II as I'm mainly concerned with off camera flash.
Then I'l maybe get a 467 or 467II for E-TTL later on.

a pair of YN460's with the YN465/ YN467 is a good "budget OCF" setup

Am I goint to need to order adapter plates for these if I don't plan on using an umbrella or softbox anytime soon? I'm going to pickup 2 impact light stands and want to order everything at once.

but then people over a certain age can't hear high pitch frequencies!

I thought about it but for car shoots I'd like something I can extend to up to 8' and tripods just aren't long enough.

Hmmm, not completely sure I understand the question, but I'll offer this.

I have the YN-460's and they come with a plastic base. In the bottom of that plastic base is a standard 1/4" #20 thread female opening. So you could attach the base and flash to a male 1/4" threaded lightstand. This of course if you were using as an optical slave with no triggers. I do this sometimes. Of course you could also just buy a cold shoe for this (it may be a sturdier option).

Sometimes I use Ctr-301p triggers. They also have a threaded bottom, so I attach them to the lightstand and put the 460's in the hotshoe on top of the trigger.
