If you are located near Luke AFB in Litchfield, AZ, you can some great shots of the F-16 landing if you park on Northern Ave (I'm pretty sure that is the street). They practice almost all day. Another great place to see to see jets at play is Panamint Valley on the west side of Death Valley. I've seen some really rip thru that valley.

What is a real sight is to watch them take off at night. :p

Wondering how often they play in that Panamint Valley area? Seems like a pretty wide open area. I would love to find a spot in the US to get shots like over in Wales where you are actually shooting down or even with the planes passing in a narrow mountain pass.

I am about 60miles from Luke AFB so I don't get over there to much plus they fly on weekdays so that would mean taking a day off. Nice shot of the Vette in front of the Viper.

You should be able to get some great shots down around Pensacola or Algiers (west bank New Orleans).

Are they pretty open as far as spotting?

I'd go to Pensacola and make a weekend of it. That's actually one of the shows I'm planning on attending. Belle Chasse NAS is over in the Algiers area isn't it?

Yes it is. I haven't been back there since 1977.

They usually fly daily. I was out there about 3 weeks ago and they were below me. Now the pisser- I didn't have my camera with me. Sometimes the Fresno Air National Guard will fly out there also. I've seen jets from Nellis and Edwards also.

Thanks- the Vette is mine. The Viper West team were trying to get me to give it to them as the Offical Viper West car. RIGHT- there is no way.

Very nice series,Viper West's aircraft are really clean either its a new paint job or they just keep them spotless, When I saw Booster at Pensacola last November he just tore it up and rocked the skies over Pensacola.

A little L goes a long way.
