Nice shots. I'm guessing that he is on a tree trunk in #1. It might be interesting to turn the picture 90 degrees to the left. Play up the fact that, unlike other birds, the nuthatch walks down as well as up.

Great pics with creamy bokeh on top... my favorite. Are you shooting with the 500mm & 1.4x to get to 700mm? (P.S. Go Skins!)

Yes I am using the 500 and 1.4 for the 1st shot and the 400 5.6 for the 2nd shot. Hope the Skins to better this year...Danny already got my season ticket money.
