Profoto launches the new battery packs: the AcuteB2 600 AirS and the Pro-B3 1200 AirS.

from our local distributor:

These are two new products, that will replace the former AcuteB 600 and Pro-B2. Both these packs are faster, lighter with Profoto's new LiFe battery and of course have the Profoto Air Sync system built in.

Pro-B3 (external link) - Fastest battery generator on the market. It's superior light anywhere.

AcuteB2 (external link) - The new ultra-portable flash generator. Lighter, faster recycling times, more flashes per charge, superior Radio Air Sync and longer battery life span.

LIGHTER, FASTER, LONGER
They are equipped with the latest generation of electronic components and batteries. Profoto implements the New Lithium-Iron-Phospate battery, allowing faster recycling times with less weight (25% less) and a lifespan four times higher than a lead-acid battery.

Acute B2 600 AirS and the Pro-B3 1200 AirS are equipped with the new system Radio Air Sync and compatible with the Profoto LST "Light Shaping Tools" with more than 120 accessories.

links to press release inside - doesnt look announced on profoto.com or profoto usa yet.

It's on their site now, but noticeably missing from all the info is PRICE and AVAILABILITY. Odd.

That's pretty much always in a press release but not here.

Is that thing smaller than the Quadra? If not, granted the Quadra doesn't do 1200ws. But still, that's false.
