I've been watching and checking for months now and finally pulled the trigger. Bought on eBay from PMI (authorized dealer) for $1799 - $144 Bing Cashback for camera, grip, and extra battery. Also bought 32GB Photofast 533x plus CF card. I know I should have probably bought 2/16GB cards, but I never fill my current card (8GB on a 40D) and haven't taken it out in over a year.

I would like to get a hand strap because I don't like using the neck strap. Does anyone know what would work well on a gripped 7D?

Thanks,

Mike

bump...anyone have a suggestion for the strap? Canon makes one but it looks like it goes from tripod mount ring to strap. I've never used one and the few products I found just look ok.

Mike, the Canon E1 strap can be used on a 7D body equipped with the battery grip. The strap does not use the tripod mount.
I use the E1 on my 40D/7D/5DII (all equipped with grip) and find it most useful and very convenient.
Good luck :D

If you don't mind the wait just order one from dealextreme.com. I believe the grips there are under $5.

Thanks for the replies. I think the E1 strap will work fine...
