I'm wondering if any of you have ever used Adorama's warranty department. I purchased a used 17-55 Canon lens from them about a month ago, and ever since I got it my camera's been giving me an "Err 01 - Communications between the camera and lens is faulty" message. I initially thought it was a problem with my camera, but after trying other lenses and not getting the error, I thought it might be the lens. I also tried cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser, but that didn't help any. Another possibly related issue is that the image would jump quite a bit during autofocus. I don't know if that means that the IS system is going out or what.

I called Adorama and they had me ship it to them today, as it is covered under their 90 day warranty.

Has anyone ever had any experience with using their 90 day warranty? Do they typically repair, or replace the lens?

I'd be interested in hearing your experiences. I might have to send my 24-70mm into their warranty department.
